Allegany County Director Phil Hager is expected to provide a briefing to the County Commissioners this Thursday on the controversial PlanMaryland program. Hager has already recommended that the planning commission take a closer look at part of the plan and in particular the chapter that pertains to growth. He also noted several issues with the plan pertaining to growth and maps. Hager reminded the commission to send its comments in before the Nov. 9 comment period deadline. In recent months, Hager has expressed his issues with the plan, noting it only shows growth ināFrostburg and Cumberland but little to no growth in Allegany County.
