Police Arrest City Man on Disturbance Complaint

On Friday morning at approximately 2:09 a.m., officers with the Cumberland Police Dept responded to the first block of West First St in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival, officers contacted the tenant who advised that they removed a subject from the residence who then began kicking the door causing damage. The subject was identified as 19 year old Corey Schriner of Cumberland. Schriner was placed under arrest and transported to Police Headquarters where he was issued a criminal citation for destruction of property and released pending trial.

At 3:29 a.m., officers again responded to this address and contacted the complainant. It was learned that Schriner had returned to the residence creating a disturbance. Upon officers arrival they observed Schriner outside the residence yelling and screaming. At this time Schriner was placed under arrest and transported to Police Headquarters where he was charged with Disorderly Conduct, Fail to Obey a Lawful Order, and Trespassing. Schriner was taken for an initial appearance at District Court where he was released on his personal recognizance pending his next court appearance.
