On Saturday, August 24th, 2019, The Cumberland City Police Department arrested Jordan Calvin Preston, age 33, of Cumberland MD. Preston was arrested on two outstanding direct deposit bench warrants issued by the Allegany County District Court on July 23, 2019. The warrants charged Preston with one count of Theft less than $100 and one count of Second Degree Assault. Preston was also found to have an active arrest warrant in Mineral County WV charging him with Delivery of a Controlled Dangerous Substance. Preston was taken to the Allegany County Detention Center, held without bond. Preston is also awaiting extradition to WV on the Mineral County Warrant.
