Police Arrest One on Disorderly Conduct

On December 16th, 2019 Officers of the Cumberland Police Department responded to a Mechanic Street business for a reported disturbance. Upon officers arrival they could hear glass breaking and another officer observed Eliot Chase Fielding to break a bottle on the ground. Officers ordered Fielding to stop, and he began to flee from them. After a brief foot pursuit Fielding was apprehended. Officers continued the investigation and learned that Fielding had attempted to assault patrons inside the business and was told to leave. Fielding was placed under arrest for disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace, failure to obey, and resisting arrest. Fielding was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center where he was released on his own recognizance pending trial.

    Seems to a constant habit in the CB local media recently to not identify N. Mechanic St. or S. Mechanic St. when describing an incident.
