May 29th, 2013 by WCBC Radio

On May 10, 2013, the victim contacted the Cumberland Police to report that their debit card had been lost or misplaced the day before, and since then had been used at several businesses in the area. The card was used to make fraudulent purchases in West Virginia at the Mountaineer Mart in Ridgeley, Family Dollar in Fort Ashby, and Daddy Lou’s Pub in Short Gap, as well as Sheetz in Cresaptown and Walmart in LaVale in Maryland. Investigators with the Allegany County Combined Criminal Investigation Unit (C3I) have obtained video surveillance from the purchase at Walmart. Investigators are asking anyone who may recognize and know the identities of the suspects to contact C3I at 301-777-0326. If callers wish to remain anonymous, they can call the Allegany/Mineral County Crime Solvers at 301-722-4300, where callers may be eligible for a reward of up to $1500.00 for information leading to an arrest in this case. The investigation is continuing by C3I.
