Domestic Assault Arrest
Officers responded to a residence on Grand Ave. for a report of a domestic assault. Upon their arrival they contacted the victim who advised that he was assaulted by his live-in girlfriend Megan Chamberlain. He stated that she became enraged when he confronted her about alleged infidelities in the relationship. He stated that she began to punch him with her fist in his face and body and along with scratching him. He stated that he then left the residence and called CPD. Officers then contacted the suspect who advised that they did get into an argument but there was no physical contact between them. Officer’s observed injuries on the victim consistent to his version of the incident. Chamberlain was placed under arrest and transported to PH where she was charged and processed.
Megan Aline Chamberlain Age: 29 Grand Ave., Cumberland, MD.
Charge: Assault 2nd Degree
Chamberlain was taken for a Bond Hearing and released on personal recognizance pending trial in District Court.
