Shoplifting Arrest
On Sunday, January 18, 2015 at approximately 3:40 p.m., the Cumberland Police Department responded to Sheetz located at 429 Virginia Avenue in reference to a shoplifter in the store. Upon the officers arrival contact was made with the store manager who advised that they observed a subject attempt to leave the store without paying for a bag of potato chips. The subject was contacted and the police were called. Nicole Elizabeth Delauter was placed under arrest and transported to Police Headquarters for processing. Delauter was issued a criminal citation charging her with one count of theft and released pending further action in District court at a later date.

Charges:
Theft under $100.00
Bench Warrant Served
On Saturday, January 18, 2015 the Cumberland Police Department arrested Michael Thomas Shipley on a Circuit Court bench warrant. The warrant stems from Shipley violating the conditions of his probation. Shipley was served with the warrant then taken to the Allegany County Detention Center where he was held without bail until his next court appearance.

Charges:
