City man served following incident with police

SUMMONS SERVICE

On Monday January 26, 2015, Cumberland City Police served a criminal summons on Megan Geiger, age 24 of Cumberland, Maryland.  On November 19, 2014, Geiger allegedly passed a personal check at a business on Industrial Boulevard with insufficient funds.  Geiger was served and released pending trial at the Allegany County District Court.

SUMMONS SERVICE

On Monday January 26, 2015, Cumberland City Police served a criminal summons on Michael McDonald, age 36 of Cumberland, Maryland.  On January 19, 2015, officers responded to the 100 block of Polk Street to assist Cumberland City Fire Department Ambulance for a service call.  As officers provided assistance, McDonald, a bystander, began acting in a belligerent and disorderly manner to the officers.  McDonald proceeded to grab one of the officer’s legs and was quickly subdued.   McDonald was served and released pending trial at the Allegany County District Court.

CHARGES:  Assault 2nd Degree, Obstructing and Hindering.
