Officers responded to a residence on Utah Ave. for a report of an assault.  Upon their arrival they contacted the victim who advised that she had been assaulted by her granddaughter Nakota Durham who lives with her.  She stated that earlier in the day around 4 PM Nakota punched her in the arm with her fist and left the residence before officers arrived.  A fresh bruise was observed on the victims arm as a result of the punch from Nakota.   Nakota then returned home later when they again began to argue.  While they were arguing Nakota was making soup.  During the argument Nakota took the soup from the stove and threw it onto the victims back.  Officers observed the victims back and neck to be red from the hot water along with noodles from the soup.  The victim didn’t require or request any medical assistance for her injuries.  Nakota was placed under arrest and transported to PH.  At PH she was charged and processed.
