City man causes disturbance

On February 26, 2015 an officer with the Cumberland Police Department was on patrol in the area of Linden Street when the officer heard yelling in the area of Linden Street and Bedford Street.  The officer investigated and observed a male subject, identified as David Joseph Snyder, in the street creating a disturbance.  Upon Snyder seeing the officer he began running away from the officer.  After a brief foot pursuit Snyder was taken into custody without further incident.  Snyder was found to have CDS Paraphernalia on his person.  It was also discovered Snyder had an active arrest warrant for Failure to Appear.  Snyder was issued criminal citations for Disorderly Conduct, Failure to Obey, and Possession of CDS Paraphernalia.  Snyder was taken before a District Court Commissioner for the warrant where he was released on his personal recognizance pending his next court appearance.
