On Tuesday at 4:04 p.m., officers with the Cumberland Police responded to a residence located in the 300 block of Pennsylvania Ave in reference to an assault complaint. Upon Officer’s arrival they made contact with several subjects located within the residence. Investigation revealed that two female subjects began knocking on a tenant’s door. Upon the tenant opening the door one of the females identified as Misty Dawn Jenkins, 37 of Cumberland, struck a male subject in the face. Jenkins then entered the apartment uninvited and struck a second tenant in the face. Both subjects had injuries consistent with their account of the incident that did not require medical attention. Once Jenkins was inside the apartment, she allegedly struck the walls causing damage. As a result Jenkins was placed under arrest. While escorting Jenkins to the transport vehicle, the second female identified as Christy Dawn Wolfe, 37, also of Cumberland came towards officers yelling and creating a disturbance. Wolfe was told several times to lower her voice in which she did not comply. As a result Wolfe was placed under arrest and transported to the Cumberland Police Dept where she was issued a Maryland Criminal Citation for Disorderly Conduct and was released pending trial. Jenkins was taken for an initial appearance at District Court where she was held on a $3,500 bond. Jenkins was then remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center pending her next court appearance.

Charges: Breaking and Entering 3rd and 4th Degree, 2 counts of Second Degree Assault, Destruction of Property.
