WARRANT SERVICE

On Sunday March 1, 2015, at 2:00 am, a Cumberland City Police Officer initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 400 block of North Center Street for an observed registration violation.  Contact was made with the driver who was identified as Mark Tallman, age 46 of Cumberland.  A check of his license status showed that his driver’s license was suspended.  It was also learned that Tallman had an active arrest warrant issued by the West Virginia State Police in Mineral County West Virginia.  Tallman was placed in custody and transported to the Cumberland City Police Department where he was cited for driving on a suspended license.  He was taken to the Allegany County District Court Commissioners Office where a fugitive warrant was issued for the out of state warrant.  He was held without bond at the Allegany County Detention Center pending extradition to West Virginia.
