On Sunday April 26, 2015, at 3:41 pm, Cumberland City Police Officers responded to a business on Virginia Avenue for a reported Theft. Investigation into this matter revealed that Stephanie Faith, age 27 of Cumberland, was observed taking store owned items and exiting the business without paying for them. Faith was transported to the Cumberland City Police Department where she was criminally cited and released pending trial at the Allegany County District Court.

SUMMONS SERVICE
On Sunday April 26, 2015, Cumberland City Police served a criminal summons on Rhonda Johnston, age 34 of Cumberland. The charges in this matter were filed by a private citizen who alleged that on April 24, 2015, Johnston assaulted him in the area of Park Street. Johnston was served and released pending trial at the Allegany County District Court. The victim was not injured.

ASSAULT
On Sunday April 26, 2015, at 10:17 pm, Cumberland City Police Officers responded to a private residence on Grand Avenue for a reported Assault. Contact was made with the victim who advised that she was assaulted by her husband Carl Horsman. The two engaged in argument which led to Horsman throwing a liquid filled can striking the victim in the back. Officers also observed injuries to the victim’s hand which was as a result of Horsman squeezing it. Horsman was placed under arrest and transported to the Cumberland City Police Department for processing. He was later taken to the Allegany County District Court Commissioner’s Office for a bond hearing and was released on his personal recognizance pending trial.
