City man charged following disturbance

On Wednesday April 29, 2015, at 1:19 am, Cumberland City Police Officers responded to the 100 block of East First Street for a reported disturbance.  Upon arrival officers observed Jason Butler, age 22, acting in a disorderly manner as he was observed screaming and disturbing the peace of neighbors.  Butler was repeatedly advised by officers to cease his actions but he refused to do so.  As a result, Butler was placed in custody and transported to the Cumberland City Police Department.  He was criminally cited and released pending trial at the Allegany County District Court.

CHARGE:  Disorderly Conduct.

WARRANT SERVICE

On Wednesday April 29, 2015, Cumberland City Police served a bench warrant on James Welsh, age 37 of Cumberland.  The warrant was issued as a result of Welsh failing to appear for trial on April 16, 2015 for a previous Theft arrest.  Welsh was processed, served and taken to the Allegany County District Court Commissioner’s Office for a bond hearing where he was released on his personal recognizance pending trial at the Allegany County District Court.
