On Wednesday April 2, 2014, Cumberland City Police served a Criminal Summons on Naomi Smith, age 35 of Cumberland.  The issued charges on the summons were filed as a result of Smith failing to send her children to school resulting in numerous absenteeism’s dating from August 27, 2013 through March 27, 2014.  Smith was served and released pending trial at the Allegany County District Court.

SUMMONS SERVICE

On Wednesday April 2, 2014, Cumberland City Police served a Criminal Summons on Tracy Bender, age 42 of Cumberland.  The issued charges on the summons were filed as a result of Bender failing to send her child to school resulting in numerous absenteeism’s dating from August 26, 2013 through March 26, 2014.  Smith was served and released pending trial at the Allegany County District Court.

SUMMONS SERVICE

On Wednesday April 2, 2014, Cumberland City Police served a Criminal Summons on Malcolm Parsons, age 21 of Fort Ashby, West Virginia.  On February 15, 2014, Cumberland City Police Officers responded to a Burglary complaint at a residence on West Oldtown Road.  Investigation into this matter revealed that Parsons allegedly entered the residence through a window as officers observed footprints on snow covered ground and a damaged screen where the window was raised.   Parson’s was observed by a neighbor climbing out of a window of the victim’s residence and running in unknown direction.   There was no property taken or was anyone harmed.  Parson was served and released pending trial at the Allegany County District Court.

CHARGES:  Burglary 4th Degree.

FAIL TO OBEY

On Wednesday April 2, 2014, at 11:32 pm, Cumberland City Police Officers responded to a private residence on Seymour Street in reference to a disturbance.  Upon arrival officers observed Misty Jenkins, age 36 of Cumberland, acting in a loud and disruptive manner outside the residence.  Jenkins was advised several times by officers to lower her voice.  Jenkins failed to comply with the officers and was placed under arrest.  She was transported to the Cumberland City Police Department where she was processed and served.  It was learned that Jenkins also had a warrant for her arrest for Violation of Probation.  She was taken to the Allegany County District Court Commissioner’s Office for a bond hearing and held on a $500.00 bond at the Allegany County Detention Center.

CHARGES:  Fail to Obey Lawful Order. Disturbing the Peace, Violation of Probation.
