On Monday April 21, 2014, Cumberland City Police Officers responded to a business in the 300 block of Valley Street in reference to a Breaking and Entering. Contact was made with the proprietor of the business who showed officers a hole that was kicked in the wall where entry was made. Once inside, the unknown suspect(s) took approximately $600.00 dollars worth of inventory as well as $150.00 dollars in cash and a television set. WARRANT SERVICE
On Monday April 21, 2014, Cumberland City Police served an arrest warrant on Jessica Jones, age 21 of Ridgeley, West Virginia. The charges in this matter were filed by a private citizen who alleged that on April 18, 2014, Jones spat on the victim and threw an electronic device at him striking the victims knee at his residence on Maryland Avenue. Jones was processed, served and taken to the Allegany County District Court Commissioner’s Office where she was released on her personal recognizance pending trial.

CHARGES: Assault 2nd Degree, Disorderly Conduct.
SUMMONS SERVICE
On Monday April 21, 2014, Cumberland City Police served a criminal summons on Sue Lilly, age 45 of Cumberland. On April 6, 2014, Cumberland City Police Officer’s investigated an alleged assault made by Lilly who claimed she was assaulted by her ex-boyfriend. Further investigation into this matter revealed that Lilly’s claim was false and that no assault ever took place. It was also revealed that Lilly made a false robbery complaint to the Cumberland City Police on April 4, 2014 where Lilly claimed to be robbed of her medication. Lilly was served and released pending trial at the Allegany County District Court.

CHARGES: False Statement to Police Officer (2 counts), Obstructing and Hindering (2 counts).
