On Sunday April 27, 2014, Cumberland City Police served a bench warrant on Joshua Phillips, age 28 of Cumberland. The warrant was issued by the Allegany County District Court as a result of Phillips failing to follow the conditions of his probation from a previous arrest for driving on a revoked license. Phillips was processed, served and taken to the Allegany County District Court Commissioners Office for a bond review. He was released after posting a $315.00 dollar cash bond.

SUMMONS SERVICE
On Sunday April 27, 2014, Cumberland City Police served a criminal summons on Bruce Meeks, age 48 of Cumberland. The summons was issued by the owner of a private business on Park Street where it was alleged that on January 29, 2014, Meeks knowingly purchased merchandise from the business with a personal check with insufficient funds. Meeks was served and released pending trial at the Allegany County District Court.
