Police make two drug arrests

On Thursday April 30, 2015, at 3:36 am, a private citizen noticed that a door was open to a business in the 600 block of Greene Street.  Officers responded and conducted a premise check of the building.  Chris Beeghly, age 32, was located inside the business with needles, a quantity of suspected Heroin and other paraphernalia.  Beeghly was placed in custody and transported to the Cumberland City Police Department for processing.  He was taken to the Allegany County District Court Commissioner’s Office for a bond hearing where he was released on his personal recognizance pending trial.

CHARGES:  Possession of Heroin, Possession of controlled paraphernalia.

CDS ARREST

On Thursday April 30, 2015, at 10:42 am, Cumberland City Police were requested to private residence in the 500 block of Cumberland Street to assist another agency with a CDS investigation.  Upon arrival, contact was made with Leo Rodenhauser, age 22.  Officers observed marihuana paraphernalia in plain view along with several baggies of suspected marihuana which were packaged in individual baggies indicating that Rodenhauser possessed the marihuana with the intent distribute.  Rodenhauser was placed in custody and transported to the Cumberland City Police Department where he was processed and served.  Rodenhauser was taken to the Allegany County District Court Commissioner’s Office for a bond hearing and was held on a $25,000.00 bond at the Allegany County Detention Center.
