Police serve warrants, two men behind bars

Bench Warrant Arrest

On Monday, May 04, 2015 the Cumberland Police Department arrest and served a Circuit Court bench warrant on Carlos Bernard Mackall.  The warrant stems from Mackall violating the conditions of his probation.  Mackall was taken directly to the Allegany County Detention Center where he was held without bail until his next court appearance.

Carlos Bernard Mackall – age 19 – Cumberland, MD

 

Bench Warrant Served

On Monday, May 04, 2015 the Cumberland Police Department arrested Kevin Delonte Jordan on a bench warrant.  The warrant stems from Jordan failing to appear for court on April 07, 2015.  Jordan was served with the warrant then taken to District Court for his initial appearance.  Jordan was released on his personal recognizance by a District Court Commissioner.

Kevin Delonte Jordan – age 23 – Germantown, MD

 

Bench Warrant Served

On Monday, May 04, 2015 the Cumberland Police Department arrested Charles Vernon George 2nd on a bench warrant.  The warrant stems from Vernon failing to appear for court on May 01, 2015.  George was served with the warrant then taken to District Court for his initial appearance.  George was released on his personal recognizance by a District Court Commissioner.

Bench Warrant Served

On Monday, May 04, 2015 the Cumberland Police Department arrested Derek Christian Thomas on a bench warrant.  The warrant stems from Thomas failing to appear for court on April 14, 2015.  Thomas was served with the warrant then taken to District Court for his initial appearance.  Thomas was released on his personal recognizance by a District Court Commissioner.

Warrants Served

On Monday, May 04, 2015 the Cumberland Police Department arrested Darryl Lemar Powell Sr on two warrants.  One warrant stems from a theft investigation which was reported to the Cumberland Police Department on January 21, 2015.  The investigation revealed that Powell assisted a second suspect is stealing items from a residence located in the 1300 block of Virginia Avenue.  The total amount of the theft is estimated over $20,000.00.  The stolen items were scraped at a local recycling yard.

The second warrant is a Circuit Court bench warrant which stems from Powell failing to follow the conditions of his probation.

Powell was served with both warrants and taken to District Court for his initial appearance.

On the theft warrant Powell was held on $10,000.00; Powell was held without bail on the Circuit Court warrant at the Allegany County Detention Center.
