On 05/31/15 at 4:00pm Officers with the Cumberland Police Dept responded to the 500blk of Valley St in reference to a domestic assault.  Upon arrival Officers contacted the victim who stated that an argument took place which turned physical. Officers observed minor injuries to the victim which did not require medical attention. As a result, 34 year old Allysan McDaniel of Cumberland was placed under arrest and transported to the Cumberland Police Station where she was charged with one count of Second Degree Assault. McDaniel was taken for an initial appearance at District Court where she was held on a $2,500 bail pending her next court appearance.

 

May 31st, 2015                                                                           Theft

 

On 05/31/15 Officers with the Cumberland Police Dept responded to a business located in the 700blk of Park St in reference to a shoplifting complaint. Upon arrival Officers contacted store employees who stated that they observed two male subjects take items and consume them without paying for them. As a result Officers contacted the subjects inside the store and identified them as16 and 17 year old juveniles. The juveniles were transported to the Cumberland Police Dept where they were each charged with one count of Theft under $100 and released to family pending action by the Dept of Juvenile Services.
