On Monday, June 01, 2015 the Cumberland Police Department served a warrant on Coty George McKenery which was issued out of Mineral County, West Virginia.  The warrant charges McKenery with violating the conditions of his probation.  McKenery was served with the warrant and taken to District Court for his initial appearance and held at the Allegany County Detention Center without bond awaiting extradition back to Mineral County, West Virginia.

George Coty McKenery – age 23 – Short Gap, WV

Charges:

Bench warrant out of Mineral County, West Virginia

Criminal Summons Served

On Monday, June 01, 2015 the Cumberland Police Department served a criminal summons on Sara Lynn Cook.  The summons charges Cook with two counts of theft.  Cook was served with the summons and released pending his trial at District Court at a later date.

Sara Lynn Cook – age 38 – Cumberland, MD

Charges:

Two counts of theft.

On Tuesday, June 02, 2015 at 1:25 a.m., a Cumberland Police Officer on patrol in the area of the Constitution Park observed a suspicious vehicle.  The officer contacted the occupants and while speaking with them he observed that they were acting in a nervous manner.  The officer requested a K-9 unit to responded and conduct a scan of the vehicle.  The K-9 unit arrived and the scan was conducted which resulted in a positive alert for the presence or odor of a controlled dangerous substance.  As a result the vehicle was searched and during so several devices used to smoke a controlled dangerous substance was located.  Kyle Robert Hartman was placed under arrest and charged with possession of the drug paraphernalia.  Hartman was transported to Police Headquarters for processing and was issued a criminal citation and released pending further action at District Court at a later date.

Kyle Robert Hartman – age 25 – Keyser, WV

Charges:

Criminal citation charging Hartman with possession of drug paraphernalia.
