Theft Arrest
On 6/26/2014 Cumberland City Police officers were dispatched to a Park Street business in reference to a reported shoplifting complaint. Upon arrival to the scene, officers contacted store employees who identified Stephanie Nicole Yutzy, 30, of Frostburg as the subject taking merchandise, placing the items into her purse and leaving the store without paying. As a result, Yutzy was placed under arrest and transported to Cumberland Police Headquarters for processing. Yutzy was charged with the following:
Theft Under $100.00 – 1 count.
The business was able recover the property at the scene after Yutzy’s arrest. Yutzy was processed and released pending trial at the Allegany County District Court.
Assault Arrest
On 06/26/2014 Cumberland City Police officers were dispatched to an Arch Street residence in reference to a harassment complaint. Upon arrival to the scene, officers observed that the complainant and suspects in this case were involved in a disturbance. All parties were separated and while officers were investigating the complaint, suspect Pamela Eileen Wigfield, 31, of Cumberland attacked a complainant in this incident. Wigfield punched the victim in the presence of the officers and was placed under arrest. Wigfield was transported to Cumberland Police Headquarters where she was charged with the following:
Assault 2nd Degree – 1 count
Disorderly Conduct – 1 count
Wigfield was processed and taken for a bond hearing at District Court. Wigfield was released on her personal recognizance.
