DISTURBING THE PEACE
On Tuesday July 15, 2014, at 10:39 am, Cumberland City Police Officers responded to the 400 block of Park Street for a disturbance. Upon arrival they observed Joseph Ansel, age 41, acting in a disruptive manner on a public street. Ansel was warned by officers to cease his actions but he failed to comply. Ansel was placed under arrest and was transported to the Cumberland City Police Department where he was criminally cited and released pending trial at the Allegany County District Court.

CDS ARREST
On Tuesday July 15, 2014, at 4:13 pm, a Cumberland City Police Officer observed an individual walking in the 400 block of Maryland Avenue with an open container of alcohol. The officer exited his vehicle and made contact with John Appold Jr., age 55 of Cumberland. The officer observed Appold attempt to hand what was later found to be a baggie of marihuana to another individual whom he was with. The officer intervened and placed Appold under arrest. He was transported to the Cumberland City Police Department where he was criminally cited and released pending trial at the Allegany County District Court.
