Shoplifting Arrest

Officers responded to Family Dollar on Queen City Dr. for a report of a subject who had shoplifted an item.  Prior to the officers’ arrival the subject left the store on foot.  The employees were contacted and advised that they observed the suspect take a knife out open the package of a memory card.  He then immediately left the store with the item.  The employee went outside and observed the subject place the memory card in his phone and walk from the area.  Officers located the subject a short distance away and identified him as Samuel Crock.  Crock admitted to stealing the memory card.  He was placed under arrest and was transported to PH where he was issued a criminal citation.  He was released pending trial in District Court.

Charge: Theft under $100
