SUMMONS SERVICE

On Wednesday July 23, 2014, Cumberland City Police served a Criminal Summons on Nathan Herrell, age 32 of Cumberland.  Application was made as a result of a July 19, 2014 Assault complaint on Park Street.  On said date, a concerned citizen observed Herrell yelling at a twelve year old juvenile as they were walking in the 400 block of Park Street.  Herrell was then observed allegedly pushing the juvenile victim against a wall.  The concerned citizen intervened and called the police.  Herrell was served and released pending trial at the Allegany County District Court.  The victim was not injured and did not require medical attention.

CHARGES:  Assault 2nd Degree, Disorderly Conduct.

 

DISTURBANCE ARREST

On Wednesday July 23, 2014, at 2:11 pm, Cumberland City Police Officers responded to a private residence on Boone Street for a reported disturbance.  Upon arrival officers observed a group of individuals outside arguing and being disruptive.  The individuals involved were warned about their behavior and would be subject to arrest if officers would have to return.  Officers cleared the scene and at approximately 2:27 pm, Officers were again dispatched to Boone Street where they observed the same individuals arguing and preparing to engage in a fight.  As a result, Victoria Quick, age 24, Crystal Frame, age 31 and Floyd Ferguson, age 41 were placed under arrest and transported to the Cumberland City Police Department for processing.  All three individuals were criminally cited and released pending trial at the Allegany County District Court.

THEFT

On Wednesday July 23, 2014, Cumberland City Police Officers responded to a business on Virginia Avenue for a reported Theft.  Investigation into this matter revealed that Mark Shyrock, age 55 of Oldtown Maryland, was allegedly observed by store personnel exiting the business in possession of store owned items that he failed to pay for.  Officers arrived and made contact with Shryrock who was criminally cited and released pending trial at the Allegany County District Court.
