On August 9, 2015 a complaint was received at the Cumberland City Police Department lobby in reference to a domestic assault that took place at 444 Goethe Street. The victim in this matter advised officers that he was assaulted by Lesli Lynne Leutert at their residence on Goethe Street. The victim told police that he had an argument with Leutert which led to a physical altercation. During the altercation the victim was scratched in the chest and back leaving visible injuries. Officers responded to 444 Goethe Street where they found Leutert. Leutert admitted to the officers that there was an argument that led to a physical altercation. Leutert was placed under arrest at the scene and transported to the Cumberland City Police Department for processing. Leutert was processed, served and taken before the District Court Commissioner. Leutert was later released on her own personal recognizance.

Trespassing/Disorderly Arrest
On August 9, 2015 officers from the Cumberland City Police Department responded to 692 Greene Street, Pyzano’s Restaurant on three separate occasions between the hours of 6:18 PM and 10:20 PM for complaints made against Craig Allen Beatty. When officers initially responded to Pyzano’s at 6:18 PM, an employee observed Mr. Beatty throw an object at his delivery vehicle. The employee stated that he heard the object hit his passenger side door which prompted him to call police. After checking the vehicle a small mark was observed but the driver could not be positive that the mark was caused by Beatty’s actions. Officers contacted Mr. Beatty, who denied throwing an object at the vehicle. Beatty was warned not to go onto the property of Pyzano’s and to refrain from contacting anyone at the restaurant. Before clearing, Beatty was served with a criminal summons from a past incident of him trespassing on Pyzano’s property. This incident was reported to the Cumberland City Police on July 25, 2015. On this date, Mr. Beatty was informed by the store owner and officers not to enter the property after multiple calls involving Mr. Beatty.
At 7:25 PM, officers again responded to 692 Greene Street for a harassment complaint. During this complaint, an employee told officers that Mr. Beatty called the restaurant and asked for him by name. The employee told police that the conversation was not threatening but he did not wish for Beatty to call the restaurant due to the problems they were having. Officers were able to locate Beatty who was in the parking lot next to Pyzano’s. Beatty was found inside the back seat of a vehicle trying to hide. Beatty denied calling the restaurant and once again he was advised to avoid all contact with Pyzano’s and their employees.
At 10:20 PM, officers responded back to 692 Greene Street for a complaint of Mr. Beatty being in the parking lot walking around. When officers arrived, they located Mr. Beatty standing on the sidewalk directly in front of Pyzano’s Restaurant with an open bottle of malt liquor. Officers contacted several employees, who advised them that they observed Mr. Beatty in the back parking lot of the restaurant. After speaking with the employees, officers returned to Mr. Beatty’s location and informed him that he was under arrest. As officers attempted to place Mr. Beatty under arrest, he attempted to leave the area and resisted the arrest. After a brief struggle, officers were able to place Mr. Beatty under arrest and transported him to the Cumberland City Police Department for processing. Mr. Beatty was processed, served and taken before the District Court Commissioner. Mr. Beatty was held in the Allegany County Detention Center on $3,000 bond.

Charges: Trespassing on Private Property, Resisting Arrest, Disorderly Conduct, Failure to Obey a lawful order and Consuming and alcoholic beverage on public property.
