DISORDERLY CONDUCT

On Thursday August 21, 2014, at 2:41 am, Cumberland City Police Officers responded to the 200 block of Greene Street for a traffic complaint.  It was learned that Molly Donahue, age 25 of Cumberland was knocking over the traffic barrels onto the roadway in the area that was being repaved.  Donahue’s actions caused the road crew workers to stop their project to realign the barrels Donahue knocked over.  Donahue was placed in custody and transported to the Cumberland City Police Department where she was criminally cited and released pending trial at the Allegany County District Court.

CHARGE:  Disorderly Conduct.

 

 WARRANT SERVICE

On Thursday August 21, 2014, at 7:00 pm, Cumberland City Police Officers responded to the 100 block of Hanover Street.  Contact was made with Kevin Kemp, age 42 of Hagerstown, Maryland.  A warrant check was conducted and it was revealed that he was wanted out Washington County on a Circuit Warrant for Violation of Probation.  Kemp was placed under arrest and transported to the Cumberland City Police Department where he was released to members of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office who transported him back to Washington County, Maryland.

CHARGE:  Violation of Probation.

 

DISTURBANCE/CDS

On Thursday August 21, 2014, at 11:10 pm, an off duty Frostburg City Police Officer observed two individuals engaged in a physical confrontation in the area of Franklin and Columbia Street.  The Officer identified himself, separated the individuals and called for Cumberland City Police Officers to respond.  As a result of the investigation, Jack Swafford, age 26 of Lavale Maryland, was placed under arrest.  During a search conducted incident to arrest, Swafford was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana and paraphernalia.  He was transported to the Cumberland City Police Department where he was processed and criminally cited.  He was released pending trial at the Allegany County District Court.
