On 09/15/15 at 4:33am Officers with the Cumberland Police Dept responded to a residence located in the 400blk of Goethe St in reference to a domestic assault. Upon arrival Officers contacted the victim in this case who stated that an argument ensued which turned physical. Officers observed evidence of an assault and further observed minor injury that did not require medical attention consistent with their account of the incident. As a result Officers placed 53 year old Anthony Taylor of Cumberland under arrest. Taylor was transported to the Cumberland Police Dept where he was processed and charged with one count of second degree assault. Taylor was taken for an initial appearance at District Court where he was held on a $5,000 Bond.
September 15th, 2015 Theft
On 09/15/15 Officers with the Cumberland Police Dept responded to a residence located in the 500blk of Columbia Ave in reference to a Theft. Upon arrival Officers contacted the victim in this case who advised that sometime overnight person(s) unknown removed a blue in color BMX bike off of a porch. There are no suspects or witnesses at this time. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Cumberland Police Dept at 301-777-1600.
