Theft
On Sunday, September 28, 2014 at approximately 12:25 p.m., the Cumberland Police Department responded to the 7-11 stole located on Maryland Avenue in reference to a theft complaint. Upon the officers arrival contact was made with a store employee who advised that a female subject stole items from the store. Officers reviewed video surveillance and were able to identify the suspect as Kristin Marie Thomas, age 26, Cumberland, MD. Thomas was located and charged with one count of theft. Thomas was issued a criminal citation and released pending further action at District Court.
Arrest Warrant Served
On Sunday, September 28, 2014 the Cumberland Police Department arrest Javon Nafaise Murphy, age 26, Cumberland, MD. The warrant stems from a private citizen applying for charges against Murphy at District Court. Murphy was served with the warrant and taken to District Court for his initial appearance and was held at the Allegany County Detention Center without bond.

-Harassment
-Obstruct justice
-Solicit / Intimidate juror
Bench Warrant Served
On Sunday, September 28, 2014 the Cumberland Police Department arrested Tyler Dewain Nimmons, age 24, Cumberland, MD on an arrest warrant. The warrant charges Nimmons with violating the conditions of his probation. Nimmons was served with the warrant and taken to District Court for his initial appearance. Nimmons was held on $1,000.00 at the Allegany County Detention Center.
