The Cumberland City Police Department is currently investigating 13 complaints of vandalisms to vehicles.  The suspects threw eggs and flour at vehicles while driving down the street from their vehicle.  A witness in the area advised that he observed a light blue or turquoise station wagon that had 4 male subjects inside it.  These incidents occurred on Fayette and Washington St. along with Karns and Patterson Ave.  If anyone has any further information concerning this crime they are asked to contact the Cumberland City Police Department at 301-777-1600.

 

Monday, January 13, 2014 @ 1:35 AM                                  Domestic Assault Arrest

 

Officers responded to a residence on Patterson Ave. for a report of a domestic assault.  Upon their arrival they made contact with the victim who was visibly upset.  She stated that she wanted her live-in boyfriend Kody Martin to leave.  She stated that they have been fighting and that he has assaulted her off on all day.  She advised that approx. 10 minutes before we were called that he had hit her in the face and grabbed her around her throat.  Officers observed injuries to the victim consistent to what had happened they were advised occurred.  Kody Martin was placed under arrest and transported to PH where he was charged and processed.

Charge: Assault 2nd Degree

Martin was taken for a Bond Hearing and released on his personal recognizance pending trial in District Court.
