Criminal Summons Served
On Wednesday, January 22, 2014 the Cumberland Police Department served a criminal summons on Nakita Courtney Hall. On January 13, 2014 the Cumberland Police Department received a complaint of child neglect taking place at a residence located in the 400 block of Baltimore Avenue. Officers immediately investigated and contacted Child Protective Services. Charges were then applied for Hall through District Court which resulted in the criminal summons being issued.
Arrested:
Nikita Courtney Hall – age 29 – Cumberland, MD
Charges:
Four counts of neglect of a minor.
Criminal Summons Served
On Wednesday, January 22, 2014 the Cumberland Police Department served a criminal summons on Richard Parrish Charles Hendricks. The summons stems from an assault complaint which took place on January 19, 2014. On that date Hendricks is charged with assaulting an adult male. The victim stated that Hendricks assaulted him by pushing and shoving him. The victim applied for charges against Hendricks at District Court which resulted in the criminal summons being issued.
Arrested:
Richard Parrish Charles Hendricks – age 38 – Cumberland, MD
Charges:
Second degree assault and disturbing the peace.
Motor Vehicle Crash
On Wednesday, January 22, 2014 the Cumberland Police Department responded to Bedford Street at N. Centre Street in reference to a motor vehicle crash involving two vehicles. Investigation revealed that Skyler Stone Atkinson, age 19, Cumberland, MD was operating a 1984 Porsche passenger car and failed to stop at the flashing red traffic signal at this intersection. Atkinson was traveling south on Bedford Street and failed to stop and crashed into a 2007 Chevrolet passenger car being operated by Melissa Ann Cutter, age 35, Cumberland, MD. Cutter's vehicle was in the intersection at the time of the crash and was struck by Atkinson's vehicle due to him failing to yield the right away and stopping at the red flashing light.
No injuries were reported. Atkinson was issued a traffic citation for failing to yield the right of way.
