Breaking and Entering

On Monday, at approximately 11:46 a.m., the Cumberland Police Department responded to a residence located in the 900 block of Yale Street in reference to a breaking and entering.  Upon the officers arrival contact was made with the resident who stated that he left his residence on this date at 9:00 a.m., and returned just before noon.  The victim stated that when he arrived back home he noticed that his rear door of the residence was broken in and ajar.  Officers entered the residence and observed the home to be ransacked with all drawers pulled out and furniture moved.  Several thousands of dollars along with several pieces of jewelry were stolen from the residence.  Anyone with information about this case is asked to call the Cumberland Police Department at 301-777-1600.  Anonymous callers can also call Crime Solvers at 301-722-4300.

 

Breaking and Entering

On Monday, October 20, 2014 at approximately 10:30 p.m., the Cumberland police Department responded to a residence located in the 300 block of Caroline Street in reference to a breaking and entering.  Upon the officers arrival contact was made with the victim who stated that someone entered her residence and stole a Pit Bull / Boxer mix puppy.  The victim explained that she left her residence at approximately 10:00 p.m. and when she returned she found that the puppy was missing.  The victim stated that the puppy is kept in a kennel in the living room of her residence.  The victim stated that she did leave the back door of her residence unlocked when she left.  The puppy is an 8 month old Pit Bull / Boxer mix that is brindle in color.  Anyone with information about this case is asked to call the Cumberland Police Department at 301-777-1600.  Anonymous callers can also call Crime Solvers at 301-722-4300.
