On 10/22/14 at 2:50 P.M., officers from the Cumberland City Police Department responded to a business on Queen City Drive for a shoplifting complaint.  Upon arrival officers contacted store employees who advised that they observed William W. Blacker obtain groceries from inside the store.  Blacker then walked to the front of the store bagged the grocery’s and walked out the store without paying.  Officers contacted Blacker and retrieved the stolen items.  Officers then placed Blacker under arrest and transported him to the Cumberland Police Department.  Blacker was then issued a Criminal Citation and released pending trial in District Court.
