On Sunday, November 23, 2014 at approximately 9:50 a.m., the Cumberland Police Department responded to a residence located in the first block of Grand Avenue in reference to a subject discharging a BB gun. Upon the officers arrival contact was made with the complainant who stated that he observed a subject shooting the BB gun in his back yard. Officers contacted the suspect who was identified as Christopher Michael Comire. Comire admitted to shooting a water jug and paint can in his back yard. Comire was advised that it is illegal to discharge a BB gun in the city limits. The BB gun was seized as evidence and Comire was issued a municipal citation charging him with discharging a BB gun in the city limits of Cumberland, MD.
