On Monday November 24, 2014 an officer with the Cumberland Police Department was on patrol on Park Street when he observed a male subject run from a business.  The officer pursued the subject, identified himself as a police officer, and told the subject to stop.  The subject, who was identified as Michael Anthony Walker, complied and the officer made contact with him.  Further investigation revealed Walker had just stolen several items from the business.  Walker was arrested and taken to the Cumberland Police Department where he was issued a criminal citation for Theft Less than $100 and released pending a trial date.
