On Sunday, November 30th, 2014, A Cumberland City Police officer on patrol observed a disturbance in front of Vugatti’s on N. Mechanic Street. The officer stopped and made contact with Archibald Lamar Johnson of Cumberland. The officer learned that Johnson was escorted from the establishment after starting an altercation with another patron. Johnson was found to be intoxicated, yelling and he continued to cause a disturbance in the officer’s presence. Johnson was warned several times to quit yelling and to calm down but he didn’t. Johnson was placed under arrested for failure to obey a lawful made to prevent a disturbance of the public peace. He was taken to the Cumberland Police Department for processing and was issued a criminal citation. Johnson was released pending trial with the District Court of Allegany County.
