Cumberland man facing assault charges

SUMMONS SERVICE

On Tuesday December 2, 2014, Cumberland City Police served a Criminal Summons on Stephanie McMillan, age 32 and Thomas House age 37 of Cumberland.  The summons was issued as a result of a Theft investigation that occurred on November 26, 2014 that occurred at a private residence on Maryland Avenue.  As a result of the investigation, it was revealed that McMillan and House allegedly stole a quantity of household property and ornaments from a residence on Maryland Avenue.  McMillan and House were served and released pending trial at the Allegany County District Court.

CHARGE:  Theft Less than $100.00 dollars.

 

WARRANT SERVICE

On Tuesday December 2, 2014, Cumberland City Police served and Arrest Warrant on Leon Britton, age 27 of Cumberland.  The warrant was issued as a result of a Theft investigation that occurred on December 1, 2014 where it was revealed that Britton had stolen a cellular phone from the victim at a location on Willowbrook Road.  Britton was processed and served and taken to the Allegany County District Court Commissioner’s Office for a bond hearing.  He was released on his personal recognizance pending trial at the Allegany County District Court.

CHARGE:  Theft Less than $1,000.00 dollars.

 

ASSAULT

On Tuesday December 2, 2014, at 3:36 pm, Cumberland City Police Officers responded to the 400 block of Maryland Avenue for an Assault.  Investigation into this matter revealed that Jaymie Snyder, age 25 of Cumberland, allegedly punched her roommate numerous times in the facial area.  Visible injuries were observed on the victim who did not require medical attention.  Snyder was placed in custody and transported to the Cumberland City Police Department where she was processed and served.  She was taken to the Allegany County District Court Commissioner’s Office for a bond hearing and was released on her personal recognizance pending trial.

CHARGE:  Assault 2nd Degree.

WARRANT SERVICE

On Tuesday December 2, 2014, Cumberland City Police served an Arrest Warrant on Andrew Eisentrout, age 31 of Cumberland.  The warrant was issued as a result of a Robbery investigation that occurred during the annual homecoming football game on November 8, 2014 at Greenway Avenue Stadium.  Investigation into this matter revealed that the victim was in the restroom during the game when he was pushed face first against a wall by Eisentrout.  After the incident took place, the victim noticed that his two stadium chairs were taken along with an electronic device.  Eisentrout was identified by way of the stadiums surveillance cameras as he was observed exiting the bathroom and the stadium with the victim’s property.  The victim did not require medical attention.   Eisentrout was processed, served and taken to the Allegany County District Court Commissioner’s Office for a bond hearing and held on a $20,000.00 dollar bond at the Allegany County Detention Center

CHARGES:  Robbery, Theft less than $100.00 dollars, Assault 2nd Degree.
