ASSAULT ARREST

On Sunday December 6, 2015, at 12:51 am, Cumberland City Police Officers responded to a private residence in the 400 block of Walnut Street in reference to an assault.  Contact was made with the victim who was heavily bleeding as a result of being assaulted by Tristen Dorsey, age 18 of Cumberland, Maryland.  The victim advised that he and Dorsey engaged in verbal argument which led to Dorsey striking the victim over the head with a ball-peen hammer.  Dorsey fled the area prior to the officer’s arrival but was located on Independence Street and placed under arrest.  Dorsey was transported to the Cumberland City Police Department where he was processed, served and taken to the Allegany County District Court Commissioner’s Office for a bond hearing.  Dorsey was held on a $5,000.00 bond at the Allegany County Detention Center.  The victim was transported to the Western Maryland Regional Center for treatment.

CDS/WANTED ARREST

On Sunday December 6, 2015, at 1:16 am, a Cumberland City Police Officer was on patrol on Industrial Boulevard where the officer observed a vehicle parked in the crossover between the east and westbound lanes with the driver’s side door ajar.  Investigation into this matter revealed that Stephen Fisher, age 29 of Cumberland, Maryland had struck a curb in the area of East Oldtown Road.  After failing to perform standard field sobriety tests, Fisher was placed in custody for driving under the influence of alcohol.  A search incident to arrest was conducted and as a result, a quantity of Marihuana and suspected Crystal Methamphetamine was found on Fisher’s person.  A check for wanted was conducted and  it was learned that Fisher had an active arrest warrant in Allegany County Maryland for failing to appear for trial on November 24, 2015.  Fisher also had two outstanding arrest warrants from the Baltimore City District Court for failing to appear on June 18, 2015 and September 15, 2015.  After being processed, Fisher was taken to the Allegany County District Court Commissioners Office where he was released on his personal recognizance pending trial.

CHARGES:  Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Marihuana, Driving under the Influence, Driving on Suspended License and three additional arrest warrants for Failure to Appear.

 

WARRANT SERVICE

On Sunday December 6, 2015, Cumberland City Police served an arrest warrant on Terri Shroyer Jackson, age 48 of Cumberland, Maryland.  The warrant was issued as a result of an October 12, 2015 destruction of property incident that occurred at a private residence in the 600 block of Kent Avenue.  Investigation into this matter revealed Shroyer-Jackson intentionally damaged a door to the residence causing the door to become unusable.    Shroyer-Jackson was processed, served and taken to the Allegany County District Court Commissioner’s Office where she was released on her personal recognizance pending trial at the Allegany County District Court.
