Police make two theft arrests

THEFT

On Wednesday December 10, 2014, Cumberland City Police Officers responded to a business on Virginia Avenue in reference to a Theft.  Investigation into this matter revealed that Jessica Keel, age 29 of Cumberland, was observed by employees taking store owned items and allegedly left the premises without paying for them.  Keel was located outside the business with the items on her person.  She was criminally cited and released pending trial at the Allegany County District Court.

CHARGE:  Theft less than $100.00 dollars.

 

 

THEFT

On Wednesday December 10, 2014, at 3:51 pm, Cumberland City Police Officers responded to a business on Park Street in reference to a Theft.  Investigation into this matter revealed that Robert Johnson, age 19 of Hanover Maryland, was observed by employees taking store owned items and attempted to leave the premises without paying for them.  Officers arrived and observed Johnson with the items on his person.  He was criminally cited and released pending trial at the Allegany County District Court.
