Police Log

On Saturday, February 15, 2014 at approximately 2:40 p.m., the Cumberland Police Department responded to a residence located in the 400 block of Ascension Street in reference to a reported Domestic Assault in progress.

Upon the officers arrival to the scene the female complainant was contacted.  This subject was identified as Lisa Logsdon.  Lisa stated that she had a verbal argument with her husband, Tyler Logsdon.  Lisa stated that Tyler was going to leave but she told him that she would leave and go to her mothers.  Lisa stated that the argument began to escalate and she tried to exit the residence.  Lisa stated that Tyler grabbed her, pulled her back inside the residence and began to assault her by striking her on the left side of her head.  Officers were able to see redness and swelling to Lisa's head and arm.  Lisa stated that Tyler fled the residence prior to officer's arrival.

Contact was made with Tyler at a residence located on Boone Street.  Tyler advised officer's that he was at his house on Ascension Street with his wife Lisa when she began to confront him about him cheating on her with another female.  Tyler stated that Lisa began to yell and scream and ordered him to leave the residence.  Tyler stated that before he could leave Lisa attacked him and began to punch him repeatedly in his chest.  Tyler stated that while he was trying to grab his bag so he could leave Lisa bit him on his right forearm.  Officers were able to see redness all over Tyler's chest and a bite mark on his right forearm.

Both Lisa and Tyler were placed under arrest due to visible injuries to both and their statements.

Both Lisa and Tyler were transported to Police Headquarters for processing and later they were taken to District court for their initial appearances.  Both Lisa and Tyler were released on their personal recognizance by a District Court Commissioner.

Arrested:

Tyler Lee Logsdon – age 25 – Cumberland, MD

Lisa Christine Logsdon – age 27 – Cumberland, MD

Charges:

Both charged with one count of Second Degree Assault.
