CDS / Arrest Warrant

On Tuesday July 31, 2012 at approximately 4:00 p.m., a Cumberland City Police Officer observed a subject who was currently wanted on an arrest warrant.  The officer was familiar with this subject, Bo Palmisano.  The officer called to Palmisano at which time he walked over to an area with shrubs and bushes before turning around and walking back to the officer.  Palmisano was then placed under arrest.  Additional officers checked the area near the bushes where Palmisano walked to and found a plastic baggie containing several individual wrapped baggies containing crack cocaine.  Palmisano was transported to police headquarters for processing.  Palmisano was then taken to District Court for his initial appearance at which time he was held in the Allegany County Detention Center on $50,000.00.

Arrested:

Bo William Palmisano          Age: 23          Cumberland, MD

Charges:

CDS possession of crack cocaine, possession with the intent to distribute crack cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Palmisano was also served with the bench warrant charging him violating his probation.

 

Disorderly Conduct

On Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at approximately 10:20 p.m., the Cumberland City Police Department arrested Brittany Skye Lindeman for disorderly conduct.  Officers were at a residence in the 500 block of Henderson Avenue handling a separate complaint when Lindeman began yelling and cursing at officers.  Lindeman was advised to lower her voice and warned against creating a disturbance.  Lindeman continued to yell and scream at which time she was placed under arrest.  Lindeman was transported to Police Headquarters at which time she was issued a criminal citation and released.

Charges:

Disorderly conduct.

 

Assault / Stabbing

On Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at approximately 10:45 p.m., the Cumberland City Police Department responded to a residence in the 500 block of Maryland Avenue in reference to an assault.  Upon the officers arrival contact was made with two victims who stated that they were stabbed.  The victims explained that they were at this residence with several friends when all of a sudden James Long jumped up and came at one of the victims with a kitchen style knife cutting the victim on his finger.  The second victim stated that he tried to stop Long and that is when Long cut his hand with the knife.

Both victims were treated at the scene by the Cumberland City Fire Department.  One of the victims did require further treatment for a non-life threatening injury.

Long fled the residence just before Officers arrived.  Long was located a short distance away on Elm Street and placed under arrest.  Long was transported to police headquarters for processing.  Long was later taken to District Court for his initial appearance and held on $20,000.00 at the Allegany County Detention Center.

James Oliver Long          Age: 56          Cumberland, MD

Charges:

Two counts of first degree assault, two counts of second degree assault and two counts of reckless endangerment.

 

Arrest Warrants Served

On Tuesday, July 31, 2012 the Cumberland City Police Department arrested Israel Jackson Kreger on three arrest warrants through the Allegany County District Court.  Kreger was taken to District Court for his initial appearance and held without bail on two of the warrants and $175.00 on the third warrant

Three arrest warrants.

 

Traffic Complaint / Disorderly

On Tuesday, July 31, 2012 the Cumberland City Police Department responded to the 600 block of Oldtown Road in reference to a traffic complaint.  This section of Oldtown Road is currently under construction and has multiple barricades directing traffic.  The police department was contacted by a witness who observed a male subject knocking over the barricades.  The subject was located and identified as Tony Weems.  Weems was issued a criminal citation for disorderly conduct and a traffic citation for altering a traffic control device.
