SUMMONS SERVICE
On Monday January 27, 2014, Cumberland City Police served a Criminal Summons on Joel Emerson age 31, of Cumberland. On December 13, 2013, Cumberland City Police Officers responded to a business on Maryland Avenue for a reported Theft. Through the use of the store’s video surveillance cameras, Emerson was observed taking a store owned item and exiting the store without paying for it. Emerson was served and released pending trial at the Allegany County District Court.

CHARGE: Theft Less than $1,000.00 dollars.
SUMMONS SERVICE
On Monday January 27, 2014, Cumberland City Police served a Criminal Summons on Tabitha Yonker age 36, of Cumberland. Yonker became a suspect in a Obstructing and Hindering investigation as a result of her allegedly misleading police officers as they attempted to locate a fugitive who was located and arrested in Yonker’s residence on January 24, 2014. Yonker was served and released pending trial at the Allegany County District Court.

CHARGE: Obstructing and Hindering, Harbor/Fleeing Felon.
THEFT
On Tuesday January 28, 2014, at 12:06 am, Cumberland City Police Officers responded to a business on Park Street for a reported Theft. Investigation into this matter revealed that Chad Groves, age 19 of Cumberland, was observed by store personnel taking store owned items and placing them in a backpack. When confronted, Groves ran out of the store with the confiscated items and was located by officers and placed under arrest. Groves was transported to the Cumberland City Police Department where he was criminally cited and released pending trial at the Allegany County District Court.

CHARGE: Theft Less than $100.00 dollars.
