Cumberland Police responded to Frederick Street near Linden Street early Saturday morning after receiving a complaint of a disturbance. Upon arrival, officers contacted a group of subjects, one of which is alleged to have provided a false name. 41-year old Samuel Edward Crock Junior was arrested and charged with obstructing and hindering, providing a false name to avoid apprehension and on a warrant for theft.
A hit and run complaint Sunday morning led to an arrest of an Altoona man by Cumberland Police. At about 7 AM, officers were called to the 800 block of Shades Lane after damage was sustained to several shrubs and saplings. The alleged offender was found at the Park and Ride on Maryland Avenue. 33-year old Jeremy Thomas Green was charged with leaving the scene of a property damage accident.
