Police Make Car Theft Arrest

On Thursday, April 16th, 2020 the Cumberland Police Department responded to the Greene Street for the report of a stolen motor vehicle that has been located in that area.  When officers arrived, contact was made with a male who had reported his 1998 Chevrolet Cavalier back on Tuesday, April 14th stolen from an E. Mary Street address and had located it parked in lot on Greene Street.  Officers were then able to locate and identify Gregory Allen Boggs Sr. as the individual that had possession of the stolen vehicle at the time it was located and recovered.  Boggs was arrested and charged with unlawful taking of a motor vehicle and theft charges.  He was taken before the District Court Commissioner and was released on his own personal recognizance pending trial.
