At approximately 1135 hrs Troopers from the McHenry Barrack responded to E/B I-68 at Exit 14 for a motor vehicle collision involving a tractor trailer and a passenger car. The preliminary investigation revealed that a tractor trailer was attempting to enter E/B I68 from U.S. Rt 219 when the tractor trailer overturned, blocking all lanes of E/B I68. A passenger car then struck the overturned tractor trailer on I68. The driver of the tractor trailer was transported to Garrett Regional Medical Center for his injuries. The driver and 3 passengers in the passenger car were transported to WMHS for their injuries. The extent of the injuries is not know at this time. Maryland State Highway Administration also responded to the scene and has set up a detour around the accident scene.
