On Friday, Cumberland City Police Officers responded to a residence in the 200 block of Baltimore Ave for a reported assault. Investigation into the matter revealed that John Michael Pinson, age 27, of Cumberland Maryland had assaulted the female victim by grabbing her by her face and shoving her causing an injury to her jaw. Pinson was arrested and transported to Cumberland City Police Department where he was processed and served. After his initial appearance at the Allegany County District Court Commissioner’s Office, Pinson was released without bond. No medical treatment was needed.
