November 21st, 2014 by WCBC Radio

The Cumberland Times News reports a Keyser man was taken into
custody during an assault complaint investigation
Thursday evening but only after Keyser Police used a
Taser to subdue him.
A second person who witnessed the alleged assault
was arrested when Keyser Police determined that he
was wanted in Allegany County on an open arrest
warrant.
Keyser Police responded to the first block of C Street
at about 5:25 p.m. to investigate the assault call. The
victim was being interviewed when the suspect
returned carrying a baseball bat.
Police then attempted to take Thomas M. Lambert, 40,
into custody. A scuffle ensued before officers used a
Taser to subdue Lambert and make the arrest.
Lambert refused medical treatment at the police
station and when he was taken by police to Potomac Valley Hospital. He was then held in the
Potomac Highlands Regional Jail in Augusta.
Lambert remained jailed Friday awaiting appearance before a Mineral County magistrate.
Brandon J. Hartman, 31, of Keyser, was arrested on a fugitive warrant from Allegany County
charging him with second-degree burglary and malicious destruction of property.
Hartman was held at the regional jail, pending extradition to Allegany County.
The victim of the alleged assault did not require medical treatment.
Police said alcohol was a factor in the incident.
