Polk Street Fight Leads To Arrest

On Saturday June 20, 2015, at 8:29 pm, Cumberland City Police Officers responded to the 100 block of Polk Street for an Assault. Investigation into this matter revealed that Frank MacDonald, age 32, struck the victim as a result of a physical confrontation between the two. Officers observed a large knot over the victim’s eye. MacDonald was placed in custody and transported to the Cumberland City Police Department where he was processed and served. It was revealed that MacDonald had a parole retake warrant which was issued by the Maryland Department of Corrections. He was taken to the Allegany County District Court Commissioner’s Office for a bond hearing and was held on a $5,000.00 dollar bond at the Allegany County Detention Center. The victim did not require medical attention.

CHARGES: Assault 2nd Degree, Parole Retake Warrant.
