Poole Arrested

On 09/11/2011 at approximately 0252 hours, Troopers were dispatched to an apartment in the 300 block of National Highway in LaVale for a report of a disturbance.  Upon arrival, contact was made with several victims.  The victims advised that the suspect, Tyler Poole, had forced his way into an apartment, and assaulted the occupants there.  After the assault, the suspect fled out of the apartment and threw a large stone through the window of one of the victim’s vehicles.  Afterwards, the suspect fled the scene on foot.  Senior Trooper J. L. Layton arrived on the scene with his K-9 and began a search for the suspect.  As a search was being conducted, Troopers heard glass breaking, and observed the suspect again, breaking out the windows of the same victim’s vehicle.  The suspect then fled again into some bushes, but was immediately located and placed under arrest.  During the investigation, it was also learned that the suspect arrived at the victim’s residence in a taxi cab, and failed to pay his cab fare.  The suspect, Tyler Poole, 21yoa of Cumberland, was charged with 2 counts of 2nd degree assault, 3rd degree burglary, disturbing the peace, theft under $100 and malicious destruction of property under $500.  He was held in the Allegany County Detention Center on $20,000.00 bond.  Arrest was made by Senior Trooper B.
