Post holiday shopping tips

If you are about to embark on a mission to return holiday gifts or to take advantage of after-Christmas bargains, there are some things to avoid that will save you time. WBAL reports that Wes Guckert with The Traffic Group suggests to plan your trip so that you don't criss cross and end up return to an area that you have already been to that day. While many people have spare time on the weekend, he says to avoid hitting the stores on the weekend. If you can go to the stores during the week, avoid the hours of 7:30am to 9:30am and 3:30pm to 6:30pm. Guckert also says to avoid the beltway if at all possible. His best advice is to take the first parking spot you come to at the mall and not necessarily the closest spot because the closest spot is usually where all of the congestion happens making it difficult to back out when it comes time to leave.
